Lying at the foot of the massive Grigna Mountains, Mandello del Lario is a paradise for mountain lovers. Since the first half of the 20th century, the Grigna Mountains have been a training ground for the most experienced climbers: mountaineers from Mandello, in fact, have reached the highest peaks in Europe, Africa, South and North America.Thanks also to the precious contribution of the CAI Grigne Association, there are medium and high difficulty routes, the summer and winter climbing routes and the speleological abysses.
